IPL 2014 Final: Kings XI Punjab lose George Bailey; in trouble against Kolkata Knight Riders

June 1, 2014

Kings XI Punjab are in a spot of bother in the IPl 2014 Final against Kolkata Knight Riders. They just lost the wicket of George Bailey and their score is 32 for two in six overs.

After the fall of Virender Sehwag’s wicket in the fourth over, Morne Morkel came on for the fifth over. Interestingly, Bailey promoted himself to No 3 and got off the mark with a single off his first ball. In that over, Vohra lofted one over the off-side and got two runs as the fielder ran towards it to stop it. He then lofted another through mid-wicket and it was stopped before the boundary and they got a couple.

Bailey was then bowled second ball as Sunil Narine came on and he was bowled round the legs. Narine had come on to bowl the sixth over and struck off his first over. Wriddhiman Saha then came on to bowl. Saha then got off the mark with a couple.

Earlier, Kolkata won the toss and chose to bowl first on what looks like a very good batting track at Bangalore. Kolkata played an unchanged side for this contest. Punjab made one change as Lakshmipathy Balaji came in place of Sandeep Sharma.
