New Zealand cricketer Colin Munro is riding on lady luck after being called up by Mumbai Indians (MI) to play in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2015.

Munro would replace injured Australia opener, Aaron Finch and New Zealand‘s vice-captain, Corey Anderson. Anderson is reported to have a fractured finger and is headed back to New Zealand for further tests and treatments, reports stuff.co.nz.

MI can now hope that Munro can hopefully contribute to their ailing squad this season following his impressive record in the domestic circuit and a format he prefers to play the most.

Despite his impressive track record in the domestic circuit, Munro has not earned a call for the New Zealand’s ODI and Test squad for England, later this year. And with Anderson out, it has also been reported that Adam Milne could also be ruled out after failing to recover from an injury, following the just concluded ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
