The cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL) player auction is back and it will be held on February 16 in Bangalore. However, it is yet to be known how many players will be up for auction, as the final date of the franchises to shorten their original list has been pushed to February 4.

According to Zee News, Yuvraj Singh, Kevin Pietersen, Dinesh Karthik and Hashim Amla are likely to have the highest base price of Rs 2 crore.

Franchises will have an additional purse of Rs 3 crore along with the balance remaining from the Rs 60 crore last year, which was generated after players were released from the squad.

Delhi Daredevils have released 13 players from their squad and it will be interesting to see how they plan their new squad. Despite buying some big names last year, Delhi managed to finish at the bottom of the points table in IPL 2014.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) also released Yuvraj Singh, who was bought for 14 crores last year.
