India’s uncapped batsman Karun Nair has been sold to the Delhi Daredevils (DD) in the 2016 Indian Premier League (IPL) Auction in Bengaluru on Saturday. Karun has been a brilliant batsman with exqusite talent as his ability to hit big shots and ability to adapt with the consitions quick and adjust himself according to the format allows him to be a big bys, as he fetches Rs. 4 crores from DD. The Delhi Daredevils had produced their strongest performance during the 2012 season of India’s premier franchise-based T20 league when they won 11 out of their 16 round-robin games to finish on top of the points table. DD looked unstoppable for the most part, recording massive one-sided victories against the likes of defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), etc. Their run was finally stopped when they ran into KKR in the first play-off, before suffering a massive 86-run defeat at the hands of CSK in the second playoff to record their most heartbreaking exit in the tournament’s history.
