IPL 2016: Delhi Daredevils come together for Earth Day

Delhi Daredevils (DD) will play against Mumbai Indians (MI) next in Match 17 of IPL 2016 at Delhi.

Amongst busy IPL 2016 schedule, Delhi Daredevils (DD) took out time to explain the importance of ‘Earth Day’. Key players of DD went out to express importance of saving water, planting trees, saving fuel and recycling the garbage that could help make Earth a better place to live. The video ends with Zaheer Khan asking the people if they are doing their bit to save Earth. The video features—Karun Nair, Shreyas Iyer, Sam Billing, Chris Morris and skipper Zaheer. DD had an unsuccessful start to the IPL 9 campaign, but they are on roll with two consecutive wins. DD put up a brilliant show against RCB with their opener Quinton de Kock securing maiden ton in IPL 2016. Supporting him along was Nair with his handful half-century. DD also included Mohammad Shami in the previous game and he proved to be handful scalping two wickets. With two consecutive wins DD are the third in points table.

DD will now play their fourth match against Mumbai Indians (MI) at their home ground on Saturday. The win against MI could lead them to the top spot. The franchise that was at all time low in all editions are finally pushing themselves to earn the IPL 9 title. Rahul Dravid is the mentor for DD while this time around DD have changed their skipper to Zaheer. During the IPL 2016 auction, after Shane Watson it was Pawan Negi who was second highest bid for Rs. 8.5 crores.
