Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the final of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016 at Bangalore’s Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday. It promises to be a thriller of contest, as captains Virat Kohli and David Warner have been at each other’s throat for the last year and a half. Moreover, both are in the top two of the Orange Cap list, with Warner 140 runs behind Virat Kohli. On the other hand, players from both the teams are in the top three of the Purple Cap list. In the previous games between these two teams, both won a contest each. Warner took RCB bowlers to the cleaners and plundered 58 and 92 respectively. He has scored 779 runs this summer and became the second player to go past Michael Hussey and Chris Gayle’s tally of 733 runs. However, SRH’s bowling has been top-notch throughout the season. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the current owner of the Purple Cap with 23 wickets.
Other than Kohli, the other batsman who has been firing on all cylinders is AB de Villiers. He is at No. 3 in the Orange Cap list, with 682 runs. Among bowlers, Shane Watson is at No. 2 in the Purple Cap list with 20 wickets and Yuzvendra Chahal at No. 3 with the same number of wickets.
