Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) go up against Gujarat Lions (GL) in the second qualifier of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016. SRH beat Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the eliminator by 22 runs to reach the second qualifier. On the other hand GL got beaten by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Qualifier 1 only to meet SRH in the virtual semi-final. They were beaten by a brilliant innings from AB de Villiers despite RCB losing five wickets for 29. They will be playing at Delhi to book a berth against RCB in the finals of IPL 2016. David Warner needs to lead his team from the front as when he scores, SRH’s chances of winning the match increase. GL have been the surprise package of this tournament as they make a debut in this IPL as a franchisee. They were standing at the top of the table with nine wins out of 14 matches. They need Suresh Raina to score in the top order to get the team out of pressure despite losing wicket. Dwayne Smith has been brilliant with both bat and ball, taking the team out of danger on his own. Ravindra Jadeja’s form is still a worry for them.
Yuvraj Singh is back in form and it’s a good sign for SRH ahead of the Qualifier 2. He scored 44 runs in the last match to take SRH to a defend-able total. Mustafizur Rehman has been brilliant with the ball along with Moises Henriques doing it for SRH both with bat and ball earning the Man of the Match award.
