Umesh Yadav struck twice as he removed Nair and Chris Morris in the same over. Birthday Boy Morris unfortunately went for a two-ball duck to leave DD at 137 for 5 in 16.4 overs. Nair has been in scoring runs regularly for DD in this edition of the T20 league. His first half-century in IPL 9 came against Royal Challengers Bangalore. He had remained unbeaten on 54. However, the next two matches saw him failing with scores in single digits. He was dismissed on 5 and 9 runs.

After 18 overs, DD have 163 runs on board for the loss of five wickets. Billings and Carlos Brathwaite currently are playing on 54 and 17 respectively with two overs to go in DD’s innings. DD did not have a great start to this fixture against KKR as they lost their top-order early. Andre Russell removed Quinton de Kock and Shreyas Iyer in the very first over of the day. Sanju Samson was dismissed in the fifth over, becoming Sunil Narine’s victim of the day.
