Indian Premier League is about to go and Yuvraj Singh’s unavailability for 2 weeks remains a matter of concern for Sunrisers Hyderabad. The virtual quarter-final against Australia in World Cup saw Yuvraj Singh twisting his ankle on the second ball he faced trying to work the ball down to deep fine leg. He looked in trouble straight away hobbling his way around to concede singles. Even after injury Yuvraj Singh continued to play despite pain which made his injury only worse. Yuvraj remained unavailable during the semi-final stage of T20 World Cup due to injury. IPL will commence on 9th April, Sunrisers Hyderabad play their first match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 12. SRH head coach Tom Moody confirmed the news on Friday evening to IPLT20.com, “Sadly, Yuvraj will be out for a couple of weeks but we don’t know how long that is going to be. A player like Yuvraj Singh is important to any team. Yuvraj Singh also shared a photo of him on Instagram while lifting weights which clearly showed a plaster wrapped around his right ankle. The franchise will be desperate to get Yuvraj in shape once again for the tournament. He was brought for a whopping 7 crores in the auction and that clearly shows his importance in the team for their chances in the IPL-9.
