IPL 2017: 3 men arrested in Goa on betting charges

Three men were arrested from a resort in Goa's Anjuna beach village, for accepting bets during the match between Delhi Daredevils and Kolkata Knight Riders.

Panaji: Three men were arrested from a resort in Goa‘s Anjuna beach village in the early hours of Tuesday, for accepting bets during the match between Delhi Daredevils (DD) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), which was held in Delhi on Monday night. The arrested men has been identified as Kiransinh Vaghela, 32, and Jayant Vaghela, 33, both from Ahemadabad, and Narendra Singh of unspecified age from Agra. Thed police have also seized Rs 15,270 in cash, two laptops, 11 mobile phones and an LED TV and a set top box. The duo, however, put up 110 runs for the fourth wicket in 12 overs, thus setting up their fourth win in the tournament. Both hit fluent fifties to guide their team home with 4 wickets in hand and 1 ball to spare.

Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) pacer Nathan Coulter-Nile led his side to a thriller winning against Delhi Daredevils (DD) in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 on Monday. Picking up 3 for 23 runs, he stated that it was tough to make a comeback after an injury layoff.
