IPL 2017: Bumrah credits MI' dressing room after win over GL

Mumbai Indians (MI) overcame Gujarat Lions (GL) threat in Match No. 34 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017. The match went down to the wire that included an super over after both teams had tied score. Asked to chase down 12 runs in the super over, Gujarat Lions could not trample past the brilliance of Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah, bow
In the interview to IPLT20.com, Bumrah said, “They just told me to back your skills, be confident this is just another over, don’t take extra pressure on yourself that this is a super over. Be confident, be calm and try to execute your plans.”
He further added, “Not panicking but there is always pressure when we were losing wickets quickly and it was a good tight match. And you usually these things happen in cricket. So we were happy that we were on the winning end.”
Bumrah has constantly been in the shadow of his more accomplished bowling partner, Malinga which after the super over must have changed.
On his equation with Malinga, Bumrah said, “I don’t practise like that, like Malinga does keeping the shoe. I practise with him on how to bowl yorkerconsistently but I always have a death bowling session whenever I do a practise session because it’s very important because this is the time I bowl for Gujarat in the domestic matches and India and for MI so that I have to practise.”
Bumrah concluded by saying that he take away each and every positive aspect of the game forward and thus grows into a better player. “I always take positive from whatever has been done in the matches before as well so I take the positives and move forward,” Bumrah explained.
