In match 42nd of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017, Delhi Daredevils (DD) will take on Gujarat Lions (GL) at Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi. Both teams are languishing at the bottom of the table. Both the sides will be facing each other for the first time. The live cricket streaming of the match will be available on Hotstar. Also, the live telecast of the match will be available on Sony Six and Sony Six HD, along with Hindi, Bengali, Tamil and Telugu commentary on Sony ESPN and Sony ESPN HD, while SET MAX will telecast exclusively in Hindi. The trouble amounts further as the tournament is nearing the business end and both these sides have to face each other once again in a span of six days. GL come with two losses, the first one being against Mumbai Indians (MI) that went for a Super Over and the latest one against Rising Pune Supergiant (RSP) that had a touch of Ben Stokes-special. DD showed perfect batting display and would hope to continue their momentum at home, especially against GL who are without their key bowler Andrew Tye. It has further added pressure on their batting line-up.
GL’s Ishan Kishan has done wonders for his side and skipper Suresh Raina would hope that he is able to convert his starts into big scores. With Feroz Shah Kotla assisting spinners, the DD think tank might bring back Shahbaz Nadeem. But who he replaces would be interesting to see.
The overall record remains 1-1 with the Lions winning at Delhi and the Daredevils comfortably winning the second at Rajkot last year. GL would hope to continue their lead at hosts’ home ground.
