Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) take on Gujarat Lions (GL) in Match 23 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The live cricket telecast of all the matches of IPL 10 will be available on Set Max, Sony Six, Sony Six HD, Sony ESPN and Sony ESPN HD. The live online streaming of all the IPL 2017 matches will be available at ESPN, SonyLIV and Hotstar. KKR are currently in the second position with eight points from five games, whereas GL are at bottom of the standings with only one win from five matches. If KKR win this match, they will move to top spot in the table because of better net run-rate than Mumbai Indians (MI). However, a win for GL will not change their place in the standings. So far, both the teams have played three matches against each other. KKR have won only once, which happened earlier in this season, while GL won the other two in last edition of the tournament. In last contest between both these teams, KKR beat GL quite convincingly by 10 wickets by chasing down 184 in just 14.5 overs.
A possible psychological advantage, however, for GL is that KKR have never beaten them at home. KKR in IPL 10 have been splendidly shepherded by Gautam Gambhir, who has managed to motivate his team with runs in the middle that in turn has demanded respect from his teammates.
