LIVE CRICKET SCORECARD: Mumbai Indians vs Gujarat Lions – Match 16
Mumbai Indians will have the home advantage at hand. They will also be high on confidence after back-to-back victories recently. Their last match was against RCB which they won by 4 wickets. RCB performed well; skipper Virat Kohli announced his comeback with a half-century while Samuel Badree nabbed a 4-for, including a hat-trick. However, Kieron Pollard held his nerve and helped his side get over of the top-order collapse. Players like Nitish Rana and Krunal Pandya will be interesting to watch for MI while skipper Rohit Sharma’s poor form will be a matter of concern for the camp.
After suffering from a couple of defeats despite impressive performances with the bat, GL finally managed to register their first victory in their previous match, thanks to debutant Andrew Tye’s 5-for, which included a hat-trick. While GL were not able to find the right combination of bowlers which hampered their performance, Tye’s performance will definitely inspire the team to do well. Their batting boasts of the names like Brendon McCullum, Aaron Finch and Suresh Raina who have been performing well and a close contest can be expected between the two.
