It is the all important Qualifier 1 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 and table-toppers of group stage, Mumbai Indians (MI) will take on the No. 2 Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) in search of a ticket straight in to the final. The live cricket streaming of the match will be available on Hotstar. Also, the live telecast of the match will be available on Sony Six and Sony Six HD, along with Hindi, Bengali, Tamil and Telugu commentary on Sony ESPN and Sony ESPN HD, while SET MAX will telecast exclusively in Hindi. MI were the first team to qualify for IPL 2017 playoffs. Mumbai Indians put up all-round performances and maintained their lead in the IPL 10 points table throughout the tournament. Team’s strength majorly depends on Indian players, which is a big plus for them. Players like Nitish Rana, Krunal Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah have been elemental in MI’s impressive run in IPL 2017 and will be expected to continue with such stellar performances to take the team to the final.
On the other hand, RPS emerged as potential playoff contender midway the tournament. Imran Tahir, who is now off for national duty, was a key player for the side and though Rising Pune Supergiant have not found an equally effective spinner, they have found their way to victory in the remaining matches. Another blow for RPS will be to lose Ben Stokes, their valuable player, in the crucial stage of the tournament. Batting has been quite impressive with star players performing up to their potential. Jaydev Unadkat will be one bowler to watch out for, as he is in the run for the purple cap with effective spells so far.
