With international cricket stars engrossed in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017, out of favour Indian players Parvez Rasool and Unmukt Chand are busy honing their skills in Bangladesh. Both players are currently engaged in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, where Chand is representing Prime Bank while Rasool is playing for Gazi Group Cricketers (GGC). Chand smacked 61 runs for the side during its win over Kalabagan Krira Chakra. Prime Bank Cricket Club has an array of Bangladesh international players such as Sabbir Rahman, Soumya Sarkar and Rubel Hossian amongst their ranks. Both Chand as well as Rasool failed to get a contract with any franchise for IPL 10.
Chand has represented Delhi Daredevils (DD), Rajas than Royals and Mumbai Indians (MI) in the past. His one and only IPL fifty came for Mumbai against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in 2015. Chand took to twitter and uploaded a picture of his team that read, “Good outing in the last game. First win of the season. #dhakapremierleague #primebank #rubelhossain #sabbirrahman #soumyasarkar”.

Meanwhile Rasool, who was released by Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of 2017 IPL Player Auction, went for the trials at Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) after Ravichandran Ashwin pulled out of IPL 10. However, he failed to impress them. Having not being picked up for IPL 10, the Jammu and Kashmir Ranji skipper signed up with GGC, where he has already scored a fifty. Other players who have graced the league in the past are Ravi Bopara, Sean Williams and Chamara Kapugedera.
