In the 2017 IPL Auction, Stokes became the most expensive purchase. Bagging a whopping INR 14.5 crore, Stokes became the highest paid overseas cricketer in the history of IPL. Playing for Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS), Stokes became the tournament’s Most Valuable Player. Expect him to fetch a massive amount this time too. If he is ruled out for the season due to his alleged involvement in street brawl, the team will be allowed a replacement.
