Mumbai Indians have made it a habit to take the match to the last over. However, they are still to open their account in the IPL but hasn’t been this their style. This was a very close contest but Jason Roy kept his calm and guided the team to victory.

  • 7:12 PM IST

What a catch by Hardik Pandya!! He has pulled out a wicket out of nothing. He covered great ground and dived to a full stretch potential to complete the catch.

  • 6:49 PM IST

The Mumbai bowlers are leaking alot of runs. They are in search of a desperate wicket here. Rishabh Pant is just hammering the bowlers in every corner of the ground. Jasprit Bumrah has been brought back into the attack as Jason Roy completes his 50.

  • 6:12 PM IST

Nasser Hussain stated on air, “Great start from Bumrah, best in the match so far.”

Bumrah completes his first over by conceding only two runs. Gauti was troubled quite a bit, and we may see some counterattack (or a wicket) in the upcoming over. DD 25-0 (3).
  • 6:07 PM IST

So far, so good for DD. Jason Roy has looked to attack from the onset, and Gauti knows such situations well enough. DD 23 for no loss after 2 overs.

  • 5:37 PM IST

OUT! Mumbai’s batting line up is tumbling down here. Hardik doing the right thing here going for the big shot but finds Iyer in the deep. The 200 mark seems difficult for MI now. Delhi on the other hand did very well to pull things off.

  • 5:34 PM IST

OUT! Krunal Pandya has to go back as he fine edged the ball to Rahul Tewatia. MI are now 6 down can they still manage to crawl to the 200 run mark? Debutant Akila Dananjaya on strike.

  • 5:27 PM IST

OUT! Rohit Sharma seemed frustrated as he was finding it difficult to find the boundaries. He dismisses for 18 off 15. Hardik Pandya comes in the middle. Will the Pandya brothers take MI to 200?

  • 5:15 PM IST

OUT! Ishan Kishan tries plays the reverse scoop but misses on this occasion as Daniel Christian hits the bails. With 2 Pandya brothers and Pollard in the dug out I don’t think MI will worry about the wicket much.

  • 5:01 PM IST

Mumbai have kept the run flow going even after losing their openers. Ishan Kishan seems in fine touch he smashed 14 runs off the last 3 balls of the 13th over. We are surely in for a 200+ contest here.

Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of the VIVO IPL 2018. We head to the Match No. 9 of the tournament with Mumbai Indians (MI) taking on Delhi Daredevils (DD) at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Both the teams enter the contest with no wins. Delhi have looked rusty so far in 2018 IPL. MI, on the other hand, lost two thrillers. The only advantage for them as they head into this contest is the head-to-head record over Delhi. MI have an upper hand with 11 wins from 20 matches. Delhi were undone by the assault of KL Rahul in the first game. The second game they were unfortunate as the rains got the better of them. As for the players, Gautam Gambhir scored an attractive fifty in the only innings he batted, while the others are yet to portray their skills. Colin Munro’s batting woes would have to be rectified if he needs to justify his selection in IPL. DD would also expect plenty of runs from Glenn Maxwell who is expected to play his 199th T20 game. As for the DD bowlers, Trent Boult led the way amongst the pacers against RR. Rahul Tewatia has also impressed and therefore DD had the confidence to drop Amit Mishra in their last game. If there has been any game changer for MI it has been Mayank Markande. His bowling has been the plus point for MI despite their losses. Hardik Pandya, too, is expected to be fit for the clash. If he does, then Ben Cutting might lose his spot who had tough time with the bat and ball against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). MI’s premier bowler Jasprit Bumrah is just a wicket away from 50 IPL wickets. MI’s top-order needs attention and it begins with their skipper Rohit Sharma. If he sets the tone at the top the remaining batsmen can follow suit. Squads:
