Rajasthan Royals (RR) skipper Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and opted to field against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 17th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium here on Friday.
After CSK’s home matches were moved out of Chennai following the tension over the Cauvery river water issue, it will be Chennai’s first game at Pune, which is now their new home for this year’s edition of the league.
Both the sides have made a couple of changes as Suresh Raina and Karn Sharma replace Murali Vijay and Harbhajan Singh for CSK.
On the other hand, Heinrich Klaasen and Stuart Binny have made it to the playing XI replacing D’Arcy Short and Dhawal Kulkarni. This will be IPL debut for South Africa’s Klaasen, who was excellent during the limited-overs leg against India earlier this year. Klaasen averages over 36 in T20s at a strike rate of 146.
