Delhi Capitals Amit Mishra become only the second player to claim 150 wickets in the IPL, and the first Indian to the achieve the feat, when he removed Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma in Match 34 of IPL 2019 at the Feroz Shah Kotla, New Delhi on Thursday.

He is second on the list of most wickets taken in the IPL. The list is topped by Mumbai’s Lasith Malinga with 161 wickets in 115 matches. Mishra’s 150 scalps has come in 140 matches. Third on the list is Kolkata Knight RidersPiyush Chawla with 146 wickets in 152 matches.

Mishra, who has played every season of the IPL, has a IPL career striker-rate 24.13, claiming four-wicket hauls in the tournament three times while he has one five-for to his name with a best of 5/17, coming against Deccan Chargers while playing for Delhi Daredevils at the Feroz Shah Kotla in the inaugural edition.

He also is the proud owner of two hat-tricks in the IPL, one for Delhi Daredevils and the other for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Mishra, 36, has played for Deccan Chargers, Delhi Capitals, Delhi Daredevils, and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL. Overall, he has played 209 T20 matches claiming 239 wickets at 21.96.

In the match, The Pandya brothers – Hardik (32) and Krunal (37*) – powered Mumbai Indians to 168/5, after a disciplined Delhi Capitals bowling attack had Mumbai in strife in the middle overs.

For Delhi, Axar Patel finished with 1/17 in his four while Mishra gave away 1/18 in his three. Kagiso Rabada’s final over went for 18 runs, but still managed figures of 4-0-038-2.
