A massive win over Delhi Capitals at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Wednesday has put Chennai Super Kings back at No 1 on the IPL 2019 points table.
In match 50 of the 12th season of the IPL, the MS Dhoni-led CSK beat Delhi by 80 runs to topple them from the top spot and reclaimed the leaderboard.
Delhi lose their top spot and slip to second with their fifth loss in 13 matches.
This is how the eight teams are placed as of May 2:
In the Purple Cap standings for most wickets in IPL 2019, CSK’s Imran Tahir has closed the gap on DC strike bowler Kagiso Rabada. Tahir took three wickets in CSK’s win to move to 21 wickets, while Rabada was not able to play on account of a stiff back.
Tahir is four wickets behind Rabada’s tally of 25.
In the Orange Cap standings for most runs in IPL 2019, David Warner, KL Rahul and Andre Russell remain the top three batsmen.
