IPL 2025 Restart in Bengaluru under danger? Weather forecast shows THIS massive threat

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is going to resume after a gap of nine days as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will host Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The tournament was suspended on May 8 when the Punjab Kings (PBKS vs Delhi Capitals (DC) clash was called off because of drone attacks in areas like Pathankot and Jammu.

However, after the ceasefire between India and Pakistan was announced, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed that the IPL 2025 would resume with the RCB vs KKR clash.

The match, if looking at the case of weather, has heavy danger of being washed out. Even though the drainage system is M Chinnaswamy stadium is one of the best in the world, the threat still looms.

According to accuweather.com, weather forecast for May 17 shows a 25% probability of rain showers. It is going to go up to 70% in the afternoon, and as high as to 80% in the evening. The forecast even reveals a 100% of cloud cover in the afternoon and evening.

Speaking about RCB, they currently are at the second in the points table with eight victories and three losses in 11 of their matches.

On Monday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the resumption of the 18th season of the IPL 2025 and revealed the schedule for the remaining 17 fixtures.
