Following a week-long suspension, the Indian Premier league (IPL) 2025 continued on May 17 with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) vs Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) clash getting abandoned due to persistent rain, meaning both the teams shared one point each.

There were high hopes for the match to be an utterly entertaining one, however, rain gods had different plans, as it was constantly pouring throughout the evening, and the match was eventually called off without even the toss being held. Both the teams sharing one point means RCB have gained higher standing in the points table, while KKR have been knocked out of race to playoffs.

Bengaluru are at the top place in the standings as they have secured eight victories out of the 12 matches they have played. Gujarat Titans is the next franchise among all the teams, and are at the second place in the standings.
