Extension has been granted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)to the one-man panel conducting a preliminary enquiry into the five domestic players suspended for alleged misconduct following a sting operation carried out by TV news channel three weeks back.

 

The probe began on May 15 by Ravi Sawani, the BCCI anti-corruption unit head.

 

“He (Sawani) asked for an extension and I have given it to him. He will submit the report in a day or two,” N Srinivasan, BCCI President, was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

 

After the report on the five players T Sudhindra, Mohnish Mishra, Shalabh Srivastava, Abhinav Bali and Amit Yadav — is submitted to the BCCI chief, it will be looked into by the Board’s disciplinary committe that includes N Srinivasan, Arun Jaitley and Niranjan Shah.
