<div class="img-caption-wrap img-caption-wrap-left "> <img src="https://st3.cricketcountry.com/wp-content/uploads/cricket/e7d9f605be8955989b4caedc855a7516.jpeg" title="IPL spot-fixing inquiry panel granted extension by BCCI" alt="IPL spot-fixing inquiry panel granted extension by BCCI" /><p class="imgcaption"> N Srinivasan along with Arun Jaitley and Niranjan Shah will look into the report submitted by the Inquiry Panel AFP</p> </div><p><strong>By CricketCountry Staff</strong></p><p></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p></p><p><strong>Mumbai: Jun 6, 2012</strong></p><p></p><p> </p><p></p><p>Extension has been granted by the<a href="https://www.cricketcountry.com/cricket-articles/tags/BCCI/page/1" target="_blank"> Board of Control for Cricket in India</a> (BCCI)to the one-man panel conducting a preliminary enquiry into the five domestic players suspended for alleged misconduct following a <a href="https://www.cricketcountry.com/cricket-articles/tags/IPL-spot-fixing-controversy/page/1" target="_blank">sting operation carried out by TV news channel</a> three weeks back.</p><p></p><p> </p><p></p><p>The probe began on May 15 by Ravi Sawani, the BCCI anti-corruption unit head.</p><p></p><p> </p><p></p><p>"He (Sawani) asked for an extension and I have given it to him. He will submit the report in a day or two," N Srinivasan, BCCI President, was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.</p><p></p><p> </p><p></p><p>After the report on the five players T Sudhindra, Mohnish Mishra, Shalabh Srivastava, Abhinav Bali and Amit Yadav is submitted to the BCCI chief, it will be looked into by the Board s disciplinary committe that includes N Srinivasan, Arun Jaitley and Niranjan Shah.</p><p></p><p> </p><p></p><p>All the five players were earlier suspended a day after the sting operation done by India TV went on air.</p>
