Ireland and England face off in a One-off One-Day International (ODI) at Malahide in Dublin on Friday. While the match will be the first match that Ireland play since the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, England will look to get the moral support that they need ahead of the battles against New Zealand. Live Updates: Ireland vs England 2015, Only ODI at Dublin
England have a squad that bears little resemblances to the one that had toured the Caribbean for the three-Test series against the West Indies — which was eventually drawn 1-1. James Taylor returns to the side, this time to take up the charge of captaincy in place of the Dublin-born Eoin Morgan. Tim Bresnan returns to the side, and will get to play his first ODI since March 2014. There are several new faces in the side as well in the form of Zafar Ansari, Sam Billings, James Vince, David Willey and Lewis Gregory. Live Scorecard: Ireland vs England 2015, Only ODI at Dublin
Ireland miss out on the services of Tim Murtagh, who suffered a hamstring injury while playing for Middlesex in the English County Championship. Ireland however, will not enter the game as minnows due to the fact that they are playing in front of their home crowd in familiar conditions, after putting up a decent show in the recent World Cup.
