After losing the first One-Day International (ODI) to Sri Lanka by a margin of 79 runs, Ireland will now host the Lankans at Dunedin for the second ODI on Thursday.
Catch live scores and ball-by-ball commentary of the Ireland vs Sri Lanka match here.
While Ireland will be looking to put up a better batting display against the visitors this time round, they would want their bowlers to keep up the good work. Their bowlers had managed to restrict Sri Lanka to just 219 for eight in the first ODI. But their batsmen failed to chase down the rather reasonable target. Apart from Ed Joyce and Niall O’Brien, none of the other top-order batsmen were able to manage double figure scores.
Sri Lanka, on the other hand, will be hoping their batsmen can strike some form and their bowlers ca continue the good form. Ajantha Mendis bowled beautifully in the last match, claiming three wickets.
