Sri Lanka and Ireland will be playing their 2nd One Day International at Dublin. Sri Lanka won the first match convincingly and will be looking for a repeat of that match. Angelo Mathews will be leading the Sri Lankan side and will be hoping for another victory.
Sri Lanka’s batting was not at their best and they only managed 219 in the first match, but with some tight bowling they snatched a comfortable victory in the end. Ajantha Mendis was the star player for them who played a brilliant cameo at the end of the innings and took three wickets for just 27 runs in his 10 overs. Sri Lanka will be hoping this can be a nice warm-up series before their ODI series against England. Catch Live Scorecard of the match here
Ireland on the other hand will be hoping they can get some big match experience and get the most out of the matches. Ireland bowled well restricting the Sri Lankan batting to only 219 in the last match but their batting couldn’t seal the victory as they were bowled out for 140.
Ireland: William Porterfield (c), Alex Cusack, George Dockrell, Ed Joyce, Tim Murtagh, Kevin O’Brien, Nial O’Brien, Max Sorensen, Paul Stirling, Stuart Tompson, Gary Wilson (wk)
