Ireland captain William Porterfield won the toss and chose to field in the first T20I between Ireland and Bangladesh from Stormont, Belfast.

 

Bangladesh did not have a good trip to Zimbabwe in the last T20 series that they played.

 

The matches against Ireland will assume even more importance as the T20 World Cup draws close.
