After signing Dan Christian in Nottinghamshire, the club has retained Ish Sodhi back into their account. Sodhi has signed a fresh deal with the club and is the second overseas player for the NatWest T20 Blast 2018. The currently No. 1 ranked T20I bowler was on top for Nottinghamshire in T20 Blast in 2017 scalping 15 wickets. Sodhi is expected to be available for the entire tournament.

Sodhi expressed his excitement on coming back to the side, I can’t wait to come back to play for the Outlaws again as it was such an amazing experience playing in a winning team last year. We had such a great bond as a team, as well as some very talented players, and while there are one or two changes in personnel for 2018, the players who have joined, such as Chris Nash and Paul Coughlin, means the squad is looking just as strong. I know we will all be doing our very best and the fantastic crowds we always get at Trent Bridge will give us all the encouragement we need, as quoted by cricbuzz.

On the other hand, Colin de Grandhomme has been re-signed by Warwickshire as their overseas player for the tournament. The club director Ashley Giles welcomed Grandhomme back the squad, He went on to play a huge role on our path to the final last year and we saw him change the outlook of several games very quickly, particularly his innings against Derbyshire Falcons at home, and Northants Steelbacks and Surrey away. He’s incredibly popular with everyone at Edgbaston and we’re looking forward to welcoming him back to the club in July ahead of our first game away to Notts Outlaws.

De Grandhomme as well was happy to be part of Warwickshire again, We’ve got a young squad with plenty of firepower, and I believe that we have every chance of going one step further in 2018. Playing in-front of a big crowd at Edgbaston with the fans in full voice is a special experience and I’m looking forward to returning to the Bears in July.

Nottinghamshire will begin their NatWest T20 campaign against Warwickshire on July 4 at Trent Bridge.
