Even though the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad was abandoned due to rain, Ishan Kishan secured himself a unique record to his name.

Pat Cummins had won the toss and opted to bowl first, and for the first time while playing for SRH, Ishan Kishan took up the role of a wicket-keeper. Heinrich Klaasen was usually the one who did the wicket-keeping duty, but was stationed in the outfield.

Ishan Kishan had a day to remember as the SRH bowlers caused chaos in the DC lineup, who only managed to score 133 runs in their given 20 overs. Earlier, they had dismissed half the team for just 29 runs. Tristan Stubbs and Abhishek Sharma were the two players who saved their innings.

The top three batters of Delhi Capitals- Karun Nair, Faf du Plessis and Abhishek Porel were all dismissed by Pat Cummins in the 1st, 3rd, and 5th over of the match respectively. Each dismissal was a copy of the other as Ishan took the catch behind the stumps. KL Rahul was the next player who got dismissed in the DC lineup- also caught behind the stumps by Kishan.
