We are into 2017 and the first T20I tournament is slated to take place in Pakistan. Their version of Indian Premier League (IPL), termed as Pakistan Super League (PSL), is scheduled to begin from February 9. The second edition of PSL 2017 will kickoff with Islamabad United to face-off Peshawar Zalmi on Thursday. The live cricket streaming of the match will be available as follows: in Pakistan, the streaming will be available on PTV Sports Live, along with the live telecast on Ten Sports, PTV, and Geo Super TV. In UAE, the streaming will be available on OSN Play, along with the live telecast on OSN Sports. In UK, the streaming is available on Prime TV Online, along with the live telecast on Prime TV. Also, in Bangladesh, and West Indies, the live telecast will be available on Gazi TV, and Flow TV, respectively.

Defending champions, Islamabad United, will be eager to start their campaign on a winning note against Darren Sammy-led side. Pakistan’s senior pro and Test skipper, Misbah-ul-Haq, will be under limelight as this will be his chance to unleash his attacking mode on the bowlers as he only represents the nation in whites. Pakistani fans will be hopeful of seeing an aggressive mode of their Test skipper when he takes on the field on Thursday. It will be interesting to see how he marshals his troops on the field in the shortest format of the game. His side won the inaugural edition and hence the expectations will be sky high.

On the other hand, Sammy has the experience of playing in all T20 tournaments across the globe and is a veteran in the format. He will be hopeful of leading his side to glory in this edition and will like to begin well against Misbah’s XI. They key players from his side will be Shahid Afridi, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Andre Fletcher, Kamral Akmal and Wahab Riaz. From Islamabad United’s camp, the onus will be on Misbah. Shane Watson, Samuel Badree, Dwayne Smith and Saeed Ajmal.

A good contest is expected when these two sides lock horns in the season opener to be played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai.
