Abhishek Sharma set the IPL 2025 on fire after his sensational 141 off 55 deliveries, helping the Sunrisers Hyderabad to a thrilling win over Punjab Kings (PBKS). Abhishek registered the highest individual score by an Indian in the IPL history.
He also earned praise from his mentor, former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, who lauded Abhishek for his remarkable innings in a humorous manner with a post on X. Yuvraj light-heartedly joked about how he chose to take a single when batting on 98 and 99.

Yuvraj Singh has played a mentor-like role for Abhishek Sharma, who has grown into one of the most explosive T20 opener in the world. During the post-match presentation, Abhishek acknowledged Yuvraj’s significant influence on his growth.
“Special mention to Yuvi Paaji(Yuvraj sir), I have been talking to him,” Abhishek said during the post match presentation. He also aprreciated Suryakumar Yadav’s advice, who is the current India’s T2OI captain.
Abhishek Sharma’s brilliant 141 off 55 balls helped Sunrisers Hyderabad pull of the second highest run chase of 246 as they securing a convincing 8-wickets victory over Punjab Kings.
Abhishek along with Travis Head build a strong 171 run-parttnership, the highest of the season so far, to set up the chase. Hyderabad comfortably reached the target with nine balls to spare.
