Kolkata Knight Riders’ Jacques Kallis strengthened his grip on the Golden Bat after remaining unbeaten on 31 against the Warriors and helping the Indian Premier League team to their second successive win in the CLT20.
Kallis appeared pleased with the win and hoped that it would take KKR through to the semis.
“It’s a good win for us. I thought we did well to restrict them to 155. Good to get the two points on the board, and hopefully this can take us through to the semi-finals and beyond,” Kallis said.
On his current form which saw him go past 200-run mark in the current tournament, the South African said: “It’s been good. I’ve been working hard and it is good to score runs and take a few wickets. Hopefully, I can carry this form forward into the semi-finals if we manage to make it there.”
On his partnership with Gautam Gambhir, who seems to have regained his form, the KKR opener said: “He’s a fantastic player and a fantastic guy to bat with.”
