The cricket fraternity on Monday paid rich tributes to South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis, who retired from Test cricket with a fairytale finish, with his side beating India in the second and final Test match by 10 wickets.
Cricketers from South Africa and around the world paid rich tributes to Kallis.
Kallis’s teammate and South Africa batting mainstay Hashim Amla wrote on Twitter, “Jus wana say well done n also thanks 2 @jacqueskallis75 for not charging royalties 4 d back and across trigger whilst batting.Haha.U legend.” (sic)
“Thanks for the great support durban. Great to see a Legend retire the way @jacqueskallis75 did. Congrats on a great career. #Legend,” tweeted Vernon Philander. (sic)
Former Australian cricketer Tom Moody said, “Wonderful way for @jacqueskallis75 to finish his illustrious career, test win & ton. Shame it ended in a 2 match series… #SAvsIND.” (sic)
