The Indian cricket board will formally decide “in a day or two” its representative at the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) annual conference scheduled to start in London June 23.
“The matter has not been decided yet. Maybe we will take a decision in another two days,” Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) interim chief Jagmohan Dalmiya told IANS.
There has been much speculation over India’s representative at the meeting, with reports talking of a rift between Dalmiya and BCCI president N Srinivasan on the issue.
Srinivasan stepped aside earlier this month till the pendency of the two-man probe commission into the Indian Premier league betting case allegedly involving his franchise Chennai Super Kings and son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan. Dalmiya was then appointed BCCI interim chief.
“At the Chennai meeting it was decided that Srinivasan will represent the BCCI at the ICC. But it is doubtful whether he will represent India in the given circumstances. There is a strong probability of Dalmiya representing the board,” a board source told IANS.

A senior board member also said that Dalmiya “was most likely” to be India’s representative at the meeting.
