The Jamaica Tallawahs are one of the strongest teams of the Caribbean Premier League 2016. With the ‘Universe Boss’ Chris Gayle as captain of the side, they are expected to have a large fan base. Gayle couldn’t bring out his best in IPL 2016 but might just unleash himself in the upcoming tournament. Apart from Gayle, Kumar Sangakkara, the Sri Lankan legend will also be a part of the Jamaica Tallawahs team. The team has many all-rounders as well, who might turn on the style for them. Pakistan’s Imad Wasim is one of them. He might chip-in with a few wickets and might also add some valuable runs when he comes out to bat.
Another all-rounder who might come in handy for Jamaica Tallawahs could be Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan. Shakib can be economical with the ball as well as strike some big sixes with the bat as well. But Andre Russell, West Indies’ all-rounder might be itching to have a go in the CPL after he missed out of the tri-series against Australia and South Africa. He also had a terrific season for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL.
Among the bowlers, Dale Steyn will be interesting to watch out for. Among the young bunch of West Indies talent, the bowling department could also feature Timroy Allen and Kesrick Williams among the pace bowlers. But what will be interesting to see for Jamaica Tallawahs would be how Gayle leads the team along and how the all-rounders in his team can contribute.
