England announced that South Africa-born opening batsman Jason Roy has been included in the squad for the solitary Twenty20 International (T20I) against India on September 7. The explosive opener is widely touted to be the next big thing in English cricket.

According to a tweet by the official handle of Sky Sports News HQ, Surrey batsman Roy will be a part of England’s T20 squad for the first time. The right-hand opener is renowned for his big-hitting abilities, and will make for a dangerous opening partner with Alex Hales.
