Jesse Ryder’s possible return to cricket after going on an indefinite break from the sport, is still uncertain after his manager Aaron Klee described what has been "a deeply stressful and emotional time" in and out of the national side.

Jesse Ryder’s possible return to cricket after going on an indefinite break from the sport, is still uncertain after his manager Aaron Klee described what has been “a deeply stressful and emotional time” in and out of the national side.

 

Ryder is in his second year of the contract with India Premier League team Pune Warriors.

 

“The break is proving beneficial for Jesse,” Karen Nimmo, the clinical psychologist Ryder works with was quoted saying in stuff.co.nz.

 

“I’m confident he can be back playing at his best, and the plan is to achieve that in as short a time as possible.”

Ryder was earlier dropped from the New Zealand ODI team, along with Doug Bracewell, for drinking while injured after they were involved in a verbal altercation with a patron at a Napier bar.
