Kenya opt to bat first against New Zealand

Kenyan captain Jimmy Kamande won the toss and elected to bat first in their Group A World Cup match against New Zealand at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday.

Kenyan captain Jimmy Kamande won the toss and elected to bat first in their Group A World Cup match against New Zealand at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday.

 

New Zealand would go into the match without Kyle Mills and would play two frontline seamers Tim Southee and Hamish Bennett.

 

Teams:

New Zealand:Daniel Vettori (capt), Brendon McCullum (wicketkeeper), Martin Guptill, Jesse Ryder, Ross Taylor, James Franklin, Scott Styris, Nathan McCullum, Jacob Oram, Tim Southee, Hamish Bennett.
 
Kenya :Jimmy Kamande (capt), Maurice Ouma (wicketkeeper), Seren Waters, Alex Obanda, Collins Obuya, Steve Tikolo, Rakep Patel, Thomas Odoyo, N Nehemiah, Shem Ngoche, Elijah Otieno.
