England’s controversial middle-order batsman Kevin Pietersen is reportedly miffed by a fake Twitter account, which according to the batsman is a mischief of one of his team mates.
The Twitter account @KevPietersen24 is spoof account, also known as KP Genius disseminating funny tweets such as “We’ve lost 5 Tests this year and to be honest, KP doesn’t want to be associated with a team full of losers. Read into that what you will.”
According to media reports in England, Pietersen is not a tad amused by the funny posts on the account.
A report in The Sun suggests that the continual mocking of the batsman on the twitter account is one of the reasons for him to contemplate retirement from Test cricket.
KP Genius’ profile reads – ‘Confused genius. Future undecided. Love India. *PARODY* Not affiliated with the Cricket Genius Kevin Pietersen or the foodage KP nuts.’ However, Pietersen, who recently threatened to quit Test cricket doesn’t see the funny side of it.
According to a report in The Telegraph made a failed attempt to close the fake account but managed to replacing the profile picture of Pietersen.
A recent tweet on the account read, “There’s 3 things guaranteed in life. Death, Taxes & KP genius.”
The Twitter account, however cannot guarantee whether the maverick batsman will continue to don England’s national colours in Test cricket after the third Test against South Africa.
