Kevin Pietersen has described former England coach, Andy Flower as an ‘Antichrist’. He believes that Flower is a master in managing players as he was lucky that the players matured under him. According to Pietersen, the England side was pretty much like the great Australian side who could have been coached by anyone.

“Andy Flower is a master at managing upwards. He’s got Giles Clarke in his pocket who probably thought – Andy’s getting results, so he must be doing something right. But he was just very lucky to have players who matured into great players,” he said in an interview to The Telegraph.

“Anybody could have coached that side, like the great Australian side. Is John Buchanan a great coach? I’ve heard otherwise. My grandmother could have coached that Australia side. My son could have coached our side, two years ago, three years ago.” he said while talking about the then England squad.

Flower, who is currently training young players in the academy was selected as the coach for the England A side.

“He [Flower] stayed a selector until he sacked me and now he’s got some cushy job where he’s looking after younger players at the academy. When he was selected as the England A coach this summer I thought: ‘Oh, my days. Poor youngsters.’ ” Pietersen was quoted saying.
