England batsman Kevin Pietersen on Wednesday congratulated Virat Kohli for his splendid form in one-day cricket, after the Indian cricketer slammed his 13th ODI ton to guide his side to series win against Sri Lanka on Tuesday at Colombo.

Kohli cracked a fluent 128 not out off 119 balls with 12 boundaries and a six to help India cruise to a comfortable six-wicket win, which also handed India series win by 3-1 with one more match to go.

Pietersen wrote on his Twitter page: “@imVkohli continuing your awesome ODI form buddy.. Love it! Well done fella..”

The two cricketers have been in touch on the social networking platform, as England star Pietersen also wished the 23-year-old Indian batsmen on his remarkable innings of 183 against Pakistan, earlier this year during the Asia Cup.

“An Indian superstar is rising if not already risen in ODI’s.. Take a bow @imVkohli , aka Chico…” Pietersen wrote.
