New Zealand Cricket (NZC) on Monday said that national selection manager Kim Littlejohn will not reapply for his position after the expiry of his term later in the week.

According to Associated Press report in IBNlive, NZC Chief Executive David White said that Littlejohn had done a good job but the new appointee is likely to be “someone with more cricketing knowledge and experience at first-class and international level; someone with a strong knowledge of the New Zealand cricket environment.”

Littlejohn’s appointment in NZC two years back was contentious as he came from a background in lawn bowls and baseball.

Earlier in the week, the board’s chairman Chris Moller had announced that he will quit from his position in September this year.
