The Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) will take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in match 53 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2015. KXIP have nothing but pride to play for as they are already ruled out of a chance to make it to the playoffs. CSK, however have plenty to play for.
If CSK win the match, they will confirm a top two finish in the league stages of the tournament which will give them a huge advantage during the playoffs. This will be Brendon McCullum‘s last match in the IPL 2015 before he heads to England and CSK will want him to leave on a positive note.
KXIP have had a dismal run in the IPL 2015 and linger at the bottom of the table, but won the previous game against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). They’ll be keen to finish their campaign on a positive note by beating the top ranked side.
