Delhi Capitals star batter KL Rahul smashed a brilliant century during IPL 2025 clash against Gujarat Titans on Sunday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. This was Rahul’s fifth century in the IPL, he scored 112 runs in 65 deliveries, which included 14 fours and four sixes.

Virat Kohli is the only Indian batter to have achieved this milestone having scored 8 centuries in the IPL so far. Overall, this was Rahul’s seventh century in T20 cricket. He also became the first player in IPL history to score hundreds for three different franchises.

Rahul took full advantage of his promotion to the first position by leading the Delhi Capitals to a dominant total of 199/3 in their 20 overs against the Gujarat Titans with an outstanding undefeated 112.

Rahul not only anchored the innings with the bat but also provided a strong finish, helping DC post a competitive total to test GT’s powerful top order. He was well-supported by his teammates Abishek Porel who played an impressive 30 off 19 deliveries, skipper Axar Patel added a useful 25 off 16 deliveries with two fours and a six, and Tristan Stubbs remained not out on 21 off just 10 balls.

Sent in to bat first, Rahul was off to a good start by taking two boundaries in the first over against Mohammed Siraj’s ball, one off a misfield at deep third man and one with a beautiful backfoot cut past point. With Faf du Plessis finding it difficult to settle against GT’s pace attack and getting caught at mid-on off Arshad Khan later, Rahul took charge and continued the momentum.
