Rajasthan Royals (RR) won the seventh T20 match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2012 as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) failed to chase a target of 164 runs at Jaipur on Sunday.

Earlier Rajasthan reached a score of 164 runs after losing the toss on Sunday. Batsmen Brad Hodge and Ashok Menaria were the chief architects who helped Rajasthan reach 164 runs as they added 64 runs for the fourth wicket.

KKR chasing a respectable total were not allowed to build a decent partnership as wickets kept falling at regular intervals.

Middle-order batsman Manoj Tiwary attempted to counterattack with a valiant knock of runs but to no avail as wickets kept on tumbling from the other end.

It was a collective effort by Rajasthan bowlers as Amit Singh, Ankeet Chavan and Siddharth Trivedi grabbed two wickets each.

But the pick of the bowler was Kevon Cooper who following up on his superb all-round performance of the last match picked three wickets conceding just 28 runs.

Brief Score: Rajasthan Royals 164 for 5 in 20 overs (Brad Hodge 44, Ashok Menaria 40; Rahul Dravid 26; Brett Lee 2 for 29) beat Kolkata Knight Riders 142 all-out (Manoj Tiwary 59, Brett Lee 25; Kevon Cooper 3 for 28, Ankeet Chavan 2 for 23, Siddharth Trivedi 2 for 25, Amit Singh 2 for 30) by 22 runs.

Man of the Match: Brad Hodge
