During the Champions Trophy 2025 clash between India and Pakistan, Kuldeep Yadav secured his name in a legendary list with bowling greats like Anil Kumble and Ravichandran Ashwin. The 30-year-old spinner became the fifth Indian spinner to reach 300 wickets in international cricket. The four spinners before him were Anil Kumble, Ravichandran Ashwin, Harbhajan Singh, and Ravindra Jadeja.
Kuldeep secured his 300th wicket y dismissing Salman Ali Agha in the fourth ball of the 43rd over of the Champions Trophy match at the Dubai International Stadium in UAE.
Agha had tried to play an aired shot against Kuldeep, but had failed to connect the ball properly, giving a simple catch to Ravindra Jadeja. He played 24 balls, but could not manage to score any boundary.
Kuldeep is overall the 13th Indian bowler to secure 300 international wickets. He has 56 wickets in 13 Test matches, 69 wickets in T20Is, and 175 wickets in One-Day internationals.
