Kumar Sangakkara registered another record in Test cricket history, when he became the second player to score a triple hundred and a hundred in the same Test match. Graham Gooch was the only player till now to have achieved the feat.
Sri Lankan batsman Sangakkara, on Friday, became the fourth player to have scored 400 runs in a Test match. After Gooch, Mark Taylor and Brian Lara, Sangakkara smashes a four off Mahmudullah to achieve the feat. He scored a 319 in the first innings and is unbeaten on 105 in the second innings.

Sri Lanka is leading with 384 runs in the second Test against Bangladesh. Sri Lanka won the first Test by an innings and 248 runs.
Sangakkara also became the fourth player to score 300 and 50 plus runs in a Test match. Andy Sandham (325 and 50) was the first player to score triple hundred and 50 in a Test match.
Sangakkara, who is playing his 122nd Test match, is Sri Lanka’s second highest Test run scorer after Jayawardene. Among Sri Lankan batsmen, he has the highest Test average with 58.01 (still batting). He has also scored the most number of centuries and fifties for his side, with his tally at 34 and 79 respectively.
