Scotland are minnows in cricket and they don’t have the big names, but when smaller known  provide moments like these, it does bring a smile to the faces of fans all across the world.

In a World Twenty20 Championship match at The Oval in 2009, Kyle Coetzer left a mark on the tournament by taking one of the best catches of that season.

In the 20th over of an innings in Twenty20 format, you don’t want AB de Villiers and Mark Boucher out in the middle. As Gordon Drummond began the 20th over, Boucher made room and smacked one towards long-on for a possible six. Coetzer fielding in that position, leapt up sticking his right hand out to stop deny the ball crossing the ropes. He fell backwards but had completed a brilliant catch.

AB de Villiers however continued his carnage as he scored 79 from just 34 balls. South Africa finished with 211 and bowled out Scotland for 81. Coetzer again delivered with the bat, scoring more than half his team’s runs. He scored a quick 42 from 32 balls.
