Lasith Malinga the toughest bowler I've faced: Chris Gayle

Royal Challngers Bangalore opener Chris Gayle, who is considered to be among the most destructive batsman in the world, is wary of facing Mumbai Indians pacer Lasith Malinga, well-known for his toe-crushing yorkers.

In an interview to Indian Premier League s official website, Gayle said,” The toughest bowler I ve faced till date is Lasith Malinga, whereas the easiest one to face would be Kevin Pietersen”

Talking about some his best moments in his cricket career, Gayle mentioned,” My most memorable cricketing moment was the triple-century (333) I scored against Sri Lanka.”

He played a marathon innings at alle where he scored his second triple ton facing more than 600 deliveries.

The West-Indies opener also said that hitting a six straight down the ground is a shot he like to play the most.

Though Gayle gets along well with everyone in the Royal Challengers’ dressing room, he mentioned Leon Garrick as his best friend,” He is my best friend in cricket. He s from Jamaica as well and played one Test and three ODIs for the West Indies. He s retired now.”

Moving beyond cricket, Gayle said,” If I weren t a cricketer, I d be a footballer. I d be a striker just like Ronaldo. He is my favorite non-cricketing sportsperson is and Usain Bolt as well. It was good fun playing cricket with Bolt once. He bowled to me and got me out. That made the experience special for him.”

Gayle feels that he doesn t believe in any particular style statement but likes to be the cool guy around. His motto of life is living life to the fullest. However he s quick to add that, one thing he cannot live without is money.

In a candid interview to the website he revealed his dream wishes. “My dream vehicle is the BMW convertible. If I could get one superpower, I d like to be invisible the man that nobody can see. I d be invisible and fix the world.”

He further added, “On a deserted island, I d like to be with my family and lovely girlfriend.”

He might be the most terrorizing batsman on the field but the burly all-rounder is a humble personality off the field and likes to groove on the dance floor after a hard day on the field. He tattoos fancy designs on his body when he s bored. And he doesn t mind a bit of bling on himself, in the form of glittering accessories and embellished clothing.
